Caixa puts Eduardo Bolsonaro's apartment up for auction

The apartment located in Botafogo (south zone) is valued by Caixa at R$1 million, but the bank made it available at a discount of 36.27%, allowing bids from R$644 thousand. The competition is open for bidding and will close on August 20th, at 10 am.

The report attempted to contact the former deputy via message sent to two telephone numbers that were once in his name, but received no response.

The auction of Eduardo's apartment was revealed by the Ururau portal and confirmed by the report.

The former deputy purchased the property in June 2017 for R$1 million. He financed almost 79% of the value with a loan from Caixa.

The property registry does not indicate the amount owed to the bank. It only points out that the bank requested Eduardo's subpoena in October 2025. Ownership of the apartment was transferred to Caixa in February this year.

The registration also shows the blockage of the apartment by order of Minister Alexandre de Moraes, of the STF (Supreme Federal Court), in July 2025, as part of the process regarding the 8th of January.

Eduardo has been living in the United States since the first half of 2025.

In June of this year, the First Panel of the STF unanimously sentenced the former deputy to four years and two months in prison under an initially semi-open regime, for the crime of coercion during the process.

He was accused of coordinating with authorities and allies of the American government the adoption of sanctions against Supreme Court ministers and economic measures against Brazil as a way of putting pressure on the court.
