Bonnie Tyler's funeral procession will be open to the public in Wales

SÃO PAULO, SP (UOL/FOLHAPRESS) - Bonnie Tyler's family released the details of the singer's funeral. Fans will be able to pay their last respects during a procession through the streets of Swansea, Wales, before a private ceremony for family members.

Fans will be able to follow the procession. Bonnie Tyler's coffin will be taken to her home in Mumbles on August 15th at 3:30 pm (local time). The public was invited to position themselves on Newton Road, from 3:15 pm, to pay tribute to the artist.

The ceremony will be followed by farewell in the hometown. A celebration of the singer's life will take place on August 17 at St Mary's Church, Swansea. Afterwards, the procession will head to Skewen, the city where Bonnie Tyler was born, before a ceremony reserved for the family.

Family asked for donations in lieu of flowers. The funeral notice requests that no floral arrangements be sent. Anyone wishing to pay tribute to the singer can make donations to the charitable hospitals Noah's Ark Children's Hospital for Wales and Cerebral Palsy Cymru, institutions of which Bonnie was a patron.

The singer died on July 8, in Portugal. She had been hospitalized in Faro, in the south of the country, since April 30, where she underwent emergency surgery to treat a perforation in her intestine and remained in an induced coma.

Legacy was highlighted by the family. In the statement, Bonnie was described as a "warm and generous" artist, whose music has marked generations and continues to be present on dance floors and karaoke bars. The note states that his legacy lives on through hits such as "Total Eclipse of the Heart", "Holding Out for a Hero" and "Here She Comes".
