Other candidacies approved at the convention: Teles Junior (PDT) for vice-governor; Randolfe Rodrigues (PT) and Alliny Serrão (União) for the Senate. "We are going to continue with the major works that are underway and those that are about to begin. We have higher flights because the oil is arriving and the oil will not take us by surprise. We will be prepared, able to win these jobs that will not come from outside", declared Clécio Luís. Calendar of conventions Conventions are the events in which party members meet to choose candidates in the elections. The deadline is August 5th. Next, the names must be registered with the Superior Electoral Court (TSE) by August 15th. The election campaign officially begins the following day. In this year's elections, on October 4th, Brazilians will vote for: president; governor; Senate (two seats per state); federal deputy; state deputy. Born in Belém (PA), he built his political career in Macapá, where he was a councilor, mayor and today leads the state Executive. He began his political career in 2004, when he was elected councilor of Macapá, a position he held for two terms (2004–2012). In 2013, he was elected mayor of the capital, also for two terms (2013–2020). In 2023, he became governor of Amapá. Clécio Luís responds to proceedings in the Electoral Court related to alleged advance propaganda and abuse of political power. He was also the target of representation from the Public Electoral Ministry for alleged use of a public building for self-promotion. There is no record of criminal convictions against him to date. Alliny Serrão's trajectory Alliny Serrão is 41 years old, a businesswoman and politician from Amapá. Born in Laranjal do Jari, she built her career in the municipal and state Legislature, becoming the first woman to preside over the Legislative Assembly of Amapá (Alap).
