The court ordered the arrest of the municipal deputy secretary of Búzios (RJ) for involvement in a corruption scheme to hold nautical parties. This Tuesday (14), the Security and Intelligence Coordination (CSI) of the Public Ministry of Rio de Janeiro (MP-RJ) carries out preventive arrest warrants. In addition to undersecretary Sérgio Ferreira, the Búzios Traffic and Transport coordinator, Igenes Lopes Santos Filho, known as Geninho, is also the subject of an arrest warrant. He is the current president of CooperBúzios. According to the MP's investigation, four people were reported for charging between R$1,000 and R$3,000 to allow events to take place without issuing a formal permit and failing to monitor them. Those charged are responsible for the crimes of criminal organization, corruption and money laundering. The investigations identified at least 38 episodes in which acts of corruption were carried out. The scheme worked, at least, between January 2021 and March 2026. g1 seeks the defense of the undersecretary and the coordinator of Traffic and Transport of Búzios, but did not receive a response until the last update of this report.
