Two child rescues are recorded in less than an hour on Soure beach

Drownings are recorded at Praia do Pesqueiro, in Soure, Marajó Two rescues of children were recorded about half an hour apart on Pesqueiro beach, in Soure, in the Marajó archipelago. The cases occurred last Sunday (20) and were recorded by swimmers who were there. In the first rescue, two girls appear trying to stay on the surface of the water. A lifeguard enters the sea to help them and has the help of another man who also participates in the rescue. Shortly afterwards, the two children are safely pulled from the water. About half an hour earlier, another case had already mobilized rescue teams on the same beach. This time, the victims were two boys. The images show firefighters entering the sea and removing children from the waves. One detail draws attention: in both cases, the victims were apparently close to the sand strip. The situation reinforces that the risk can exist even in places that appear shallow, especially on beaches with currents, gaps in the bottom and changes in the tide. During the summer, the Fire Department advises that bathers look for areas protected by lifeguards, respect signage and keep children under adult supervision at all times. ?
