As a result, the decision that annulled the party's votes in Manaus and guaranteed the diploma and inauguration of Glória Carratte (PSB) in the Manaus City Council remains valid, while the appeal remains under analysis in the Court. When overturning the injunction, Nunes Marques highlighted that the Electoral Court had already complied with the ruling that recognized fraud in the gender quota on the Christian Democracy (DC) ticket. The decision resulted in a new total of votes, followed by the diploma and inauguration of Glória Carratte on July 1st. According to the minister, maintaining the suspensive effect could cause a new change in the composition of the City Council and generate institutional instability. "Once the execution of the regional ruling is complete, maintaining the suspensive effect would reintroduce the instability in the composition of the City Council that the precautionary measure itself aimed to avoid. Its revocation is therefore necessary", states an excerpt from the decision. The president of the TSE also cited a previous decision by the case's rapporteur, minister Floriano de Azevedo Marques, who denied a request from Elan Alencar's defense to suspend the effects of the revocation. At the time, he understood that there was not enough legal plausibility to grant the measure. Understand the case Elan Alencar lost his mandate after the Electoral Court recognized fraud in the gender quota in the 2024 municipal elections by Christian Democracy in Manaus. Fraud occurs when parties register female candidates just to meet the minimum percentage required by electoral legislation, without effective participation in the dispute. In June 2026, TRE-AM rejected the appeals presented by the party and ordered immediate compliance with the decision that annulled the party's votes, revoked the diplomas of the candidates elected by the DC and ordered a new tally of votes.
