During the conference held at the PRF Operational Unit (UOP) in Balsas, the agents found that the license plate registered in the Interstate Forest Guide (GF3i) was different from the identification of the truck approached. The police also found wooden doors that were not described in the invoice presented by the driver. Due to the inconsistencies, the environmental license lost its validity for that transport. According to the PRF, the incident was classified, in principle, as transport of forestry products without a valid license. The driver signed a Detailed Occurrence Statement (TCO) and committed to appearing in court when summoned. The truck, the semi-trailer and all the wood remained seized in the yard of the PRF unit in Balsas. The material is available to environmental bodies responsible for administrative measures. Copies of the incident will be sent to the Public Ministry, the Brazilian Institute of the Environment and Renewable Natural Resources (Ibama) and the State Secretariat for the Environment.
