The driver lost control of the steering wheel and the vehicle overturned over the concrete barrier that separates the lanes, crossing the road towards Mogi das Cruzes. The two people in the truck were not injured and refused medical attention.

Artesp reported that as the accident occurred on the border between Biritiba-Mirim and Bertioga, there was a delay in assistance until it was defined which team would be responsible for the incident.
