Remember the case Juliano had his mandate revoked on April 16th. According to the complaint, the party registered a fictitious candidacy, known as "orange", to meet the legal requirement of 30% women. ? Orange candidacy occurs when a party registers a sham candidacy, with no real intention of contesting, to meet the minimum quota of 30% of women or divert resources from the Electoral Fund. These candidacies usually have few or no votes and do not carry out campaigns. In this case, the candidacy was from Talita Pereira, who had only two votes in 2024. The decision made the candidate ineligible for eight years. What does Juliano's defense say? In a note to g1, Juliano Botelho's defense informed: "Councilman Juliano Botelho's legal advisor informs that he will appeal to the Superior Electoral Court against the recent decision of the TRE/SP. The defense highlights and reinforces that no illicit act or irregularity was attributed to the parliamentarian. The decision of the TRE/SP deals exclusively with issues relating to the composition of the party ticket (gender quota), reaching the councilor's mandate in a merely reflexive way by the annulment of the party's votes.
