The initiative begins this Tuesday (28) and continues until July 30, at Campo da Comunidade Fé 3, located on Rua Holanda s/n, in the Colônia Antônio Aleixo neighborhood, and will offer five free sessions per day. After the capital of Amazonas, the traveling cinema continues through cities in Paraíba, Pernambuco, Minas Gerais, São Paulo and Paraná. The complete schedule is available on the website. In Manaus, the truck will offer five free sessions per day, always at 8am, 10am, 2pm, 4pm and 7pm. Tickets are distributed on site, one hour before each session. ? There are 85 seats, two adapted for wheelchair users, as well as digital projection, acoustic insulation, air conditioning and a candy bar. The project is supported by the Ministry of Culture, through the Rouanet Law, and produced by Instituto Acerte and Projetos com Incentivo.

Access to culture The project seeks to bring culture and inclusion to regions where access to cinema is restricted. In many cities, the trailer offers children and adults their first experience in a movie theater. According to data from the National Cinema Agency (Ancine) and the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE), only 9% of Brazilian municipalities have cinemas. In the North, 80% of the population needs to travel more than an hour to watch a film. In the South, the index drops to 14.9%. "Contributing to reducing this distance is a way of generating a positive impact on communities. By transforming a trailer into a movie theater, we show that technology can transform realities", says Venício Monteiro, COO of DENSO in South America, the company responsible for the project. Around 84 million Brazilians live in cities without cinemas. The country has one room for every 58 thousand inhabitants, a lower number than countries such as Argentina (1 for 49 thousand) and Chile (1 for 39 thousand), as well as Mexico (1 for 17 thousand) and South Korea (1 for 15 thousand). "Many children who enter the trailer had never been to the cinema. Taking this experience is more than entertainment: it is inclusion, dignity and dream", says Ricardo Pereira, president of Instituto Acerte.
