Solution developed with Yelum Seguros combines high customization, integrated technology and differentiators such as coverage for solar panels and flexible payment methods. Sicredi Sicredi has just launched a new home insurance option, Sicredi by Yelum, developed in partnership with Yelum Seguros, an insurer of the HDI Group. With a high level of customization and technological integration, the product marks an advance in the cooperative financial institution's strategy of expanding the asset protection of its members and strengthening its operations in the residential insurance market. Among the main differences of the new insurance are compensation without depreciation, coverage for solar panels, automatic renewal, flexible payment and coverage for flooding, in addition to residential services such as plumbers, electricians, among others. The insurance market grew 7.4% in the first quarter of this year, with emphasis on home insurance, which expanded 10% in the same period. The advancement of home insurance is linked to the increase in weather events and greater concern about domestic occurrences, such as short circuits, leaks and windstorms, which increase the need for property protection. Despite recent growth, home insurance is still a product with low penetration in the country. Only approximately 17% of Brazilian homes have this coverage, a number significantly lower than the approximately 90% registered in developed countries, according to CNSeg (National Confederation of Insurance Companies). Marcelo Fogaça, Insurance Manager at Sicredi, highlights that the scenario presents an opportunity for expansion in this segment. “More than 80% of homes still do not have security protection, which shows the great room for growth, value generation and expansion of the culture of protection among members”, explains the executive.
