After three and a half years in office, the governor of Rondônia, Colonel Marcos Rocha (PSD), fully fulfilled 10 of the 21 promises made during the re-election campaign in 2022, shows a survey by g1. The Politicians' Promises project, by g1, monitors the fulfillment of commitments made by candidates for mayors, state governments and the Presidency of the Republic. At this stage, the survey considers a balance of what was delivered between January 1, 2023 and June 30, 2026, a period equivalent to three and a half years of office. Of the 21 commitments made by Colonel Marcos Rocha: 10 were fully fulfilled; 3 were partially fulfilled, still with pending issues; 8 have not been fulfilled to date. Monitoring politicians' promises has been carried out by g1 journalists from all over Brazil since 2015. See below the promises separated by themes: Health Public safety Education and culture Sports Environment Administration Housing Carry out renovation and expansion of the Rondônia Tropical Medicine Center The promise of the government plan was fulfilled. The renovation and expansion of the Rondônia Tropical Medicine Center (Cemetron) was carried out and delivered in January 2026. The work includes a new Intensive Care Unit (ICU), administrative areas and ten new Intensive Care Unit (ICU) beds. Complete the Guajará-Mirim Regional Hospital The proposal was presented in an interview with g1 during the 2022 campaign and was fulfilled: the new Guajará-Mirim Regional Hospital was inaugurated in March 2025. Renovate the Porto Velho children's hospital The promise was partially fulfilled: the renovations were started in 2025 and carried out gradually, by sectors, so as not to interrupt service. However, all works have not been completed to date. What the government says: according to the hospital management, "the improvements made to date include: renovation of the reception and pharmacy, creation of an observation sector, adjustments to wards and the humanized ICU and implementation of a toy library." Completing the works on the Urgency and Emergency Hospital of Rondônia The promise was not fulfilled, as the works were not completed at the hospital. What the government says: the government claims that the contract for the construction of the hospital was signed and work began. However, the contract was canceled because the company responsible for construction "faced difficulties" in keeping the work progressing. The State is considering purchasing a ready-made building. Build the Hepatitis Laboratory at the Tropical Medicine Research Center The promise was not fulfilled. There is a hepatitis clinic linked to the Tropical Medicine Research Center (Cepem), but a laboratory dedicated to the disease was not built, as promised. Patients are treated at the outpatient clinic, but need to undergo tests in different laboratories linked to Sesau, such as the Central Public Health Laboratory (Lacen). Build the headquarters building for the state's Integrated Operations Center (CIOP) The promise fulfilled. The Integrated Police Operations Center was delivered in 2024. Implement an electronic people monitoring center The promise was also fulfilled. The Electronic People Monitoring Center (CME) was implemented in April 2024 and is operating in Porto Velho. According to the government of Rondônia, a new headquarters will be installed at Rua José Adelino, nº 3,981, in the Costa e Silva neighborhood, also in the capital. The new unit is expected to be delivered in July 2026. Install videoconferencing system in prisons The promise was fulfilled: the state's 49 prison units have the structure to hold virtual hearings in specific rooms for this purpose. The initiative was developed in partnership with the Rondônia Court of Justice (TJ-RO). Completing the works on the Fire Stations The promise was partially fulfilled, as five of the six fire stations were delivered (Buritis, Espigão D'Oeste, Machadinho D'Oeste, Pimenta Bueno and São Miguel do Guaporé). However, the unit in Ji-Paraná was not delivered. What the government says: the government was asked about the completion of the barracks works, but did not respond until the publication of this report. Implement the mobile system in all Military Police vehicles The promise was partially fulfilled. The system is not connected to the vehicle, but to mobile devices, such as cell phones and tablets, according to police officers interviewed by g1. What the government says: through the PM, the government informed that the vehicles do not have the system installed, but that all police officers in the corporation have access to the tool. Have 24-hour service at women's police stations The promise was not fulfilled due to the fact that none of the Women's Police Stations (DEAM) operated 24 hours a day. What the government says: the government was questioned about the functioning of the police stations, but did not respond until the publication of this report. Create a Women's Police Station in the East Zone of Porto Velho The promise was not fulfilled: no specific police station was created for women in the East zone of the city or in any other area of ??the capital. Furthermore, the specialized care unit for women no longer has its own location under the current administration. Currently, services are provided at the Integrated Public Security Unit (Unisp), in the East Zone of Porto Velho. Hold a public competition for the Department of Education The promise was fulfilled. The competition notice was published on January 6, 2026. Registration began on the s
