Sending of images According to the municipality, the transfer of images will be voluntary and formalized through a specific document. The images will be transmitted exclusively in real time to Cicoe, a center that operates 24 hours a day and monitors the cameras installed in the city. In a statement, the Secretary of Public Security Affairs, Maurício Vieira Izumi, stated that the program complies with the General Data Protection Law (LGPD) and represents yet another advance in the security of residents and tourists. "This is a way for both individuals and companies to collaborate with the city's security, in line with a constitutional precept that says that public security is a duty of the state, but also the right and responsibility of everyone. This will significantly increase our monitoring capacity", explained Izumi.

How to participate As announced by the city hall, to participate, you must meet the following requirements: Have an IP camera compatible with the Real Time Streaming Protocol (RTSP), which allows you to transmit video and audio in real time to monitoring systems; Provide stable internet connection; Have external access to the camera (public IP or DDNS); Provide an exclusive user for Cicoe access; Meet the technical requirements set out in the Integration Manual; Have a camera installed in a location considered to be of interest to public security, according to analysis by the Secretariat of Public Security Affairs (Seasp). Interested parties must present an identification document (RG or CNH), in addition to the other documents required in the Digital Application. The request can be made at Cicoe, located in Paço Municipal, Avenida Presidente Kennedy, nº 9.000, in the Mirim neighborhood, or through the application available on the city hall website. Service takes place from Monday to Friday, from 9am to 4pm, except on holidays and optional points. According to the municipal administration, the deadline for analysis is up to 15 working days, counting from the complete presentation of the documentation, which may vary depending on the complexity of the technical assessment and operational availability. Cicoe When it began operating in 2002, the center had 333 cameras interconnected by a network of 192 kilometers of fiber optic cables, called Infovia, which also started to serve areas such as Education and Health. Currently, the network has more than 300 kilometers of cables. Over the years, the city hall has also invested in technologies such as the character reading system, used in the so-called electronic siege, and facial recognition, which helps in identifying criminals and in the work of the Judiciary Police.
