PP launches Mailza Assis as candidate for Acre government

Mailza Assis was launched as a candidate for the government of Acre by the PP Walace Gomes/g1 Progressistas (PP) confirmed Mailza Assis' candidacy for the government of Acre. The decision was taken during a convention held this Tuesday (4), at Sesc Bosque, in Rio Branco. Mailza is the current governor of the state and was elected in 2022 as Gladson Camelí's deputy. ? Other candidacies approved at the convention: Jéssica Sales (MDB) for vice-governor; Gladson Camelí (PP) and Márcio Bittar (PL) for the Senate. "It's commitment and respect for our Acreans. Health will continue to improve, medical care needs to happen here and not for our population to go to São Paulo. Another pillar will be the care for our rural producers, who often only need machinery to transport their production. We won't stop, this victory belongs to all Acreans", he celebrated. Convention calendar Conventions are events in which party members meet to choose candidates in elections. The deadline is August 5th. Next, the names must be registered with the Superior Court (TSE) by August 15th. The election campaign officially begins the following day. In this year's elections, on October 4, Brazilians will vote for: president; governor; Senate (two seats per state); federal deputy; state deputy; Mailza Assis's career Born in Mundo Novo (MS), Mailza Assis da Silva is 49 years old and has lived in Acre since she was 20. She began her political career in Senador Guiomard, where she was municipal secretary of Administration and, later, of Social Assistance. The state's projection came in 2014, when she was elected as the first alternate senator on Gladson Camelí's ticket. With his election to the government in 2018, Mailza took office in the Senate in 2019, where he remained for four years. She took charge of the Government of Acre in April this year after the departure of Governor Gladson Camelí (PP), who left office to run for the Senate in this year's elections.
