The police officers carried out search and seizure warrants at three rural properties linked to those being investigated. In one of the locations, agricultural pesticides were found without proof of origin. In another property, the police identified a space that, according to investigations, was used for the transshipment of stolen cargo. During the analysis of a cell phone seized in the operation, investigators located a photo of a pistol belonging to the Military Police, which had been stolen from a farm in Arandu (SP). The suspect was taken to the São João da Boa Vista jail. According to delegate Jorge Mazzi, he was already being investigated for robbery and was recognized by witnesses. According to the delegate, the criminal group operates in different rural regions of the state, which motivated joint work with other specialized police stations. On July 20, an action by the DIG of São João da Boa Vista with the Military Police of Andradas (MG) had already resulted in the recovery of 30 bags of coffee and the arrest of another suspect linked to the group. In addition to coffee, police seized firearms and various agricultural inputs. Part of the recovered material was recognized as the product of thefts recorded at a company in São João da Boa Vista, in April, and at a farm in Lençóis Paulista (SP).
