Police arrest suspect of stabbing and raping women in Porto Alegre The Civil Police preventively arrested a man suspected of attacking women with a knife on the streets of Porto Alegre. Investigations indicate that the suspect approached the victims on public roads using a bicycle and a knife to make threats. The investigator approached the victim on a bicycle and stabbed the woman in the chest with a knife (see above). According to delegate Thais Dequech, the victim did not notice the stab wound at first, only noticing the wound when it started to bleed. She was under medical observation, but was released the same day, as no organs were punctured. The crime of rape was recorded on July 29, in the Bom Fim neighborhood. According to the delegate, the suspect followed the victim on a bicycle and cornered him with the knife. Afterwards, he forced him to remain in the place and watch while he carried out a libidinous act. So far, the police have confirmed the suspect's responsibility in these two cases. Delegate Thais Dequech advises that other women who have gone through similar situations register a report with the 1st Deam to assist in the investigations. The suspect's name was not released.
