Pet buffalo invades swimming pool and spends seven hours 'relaxing' in the North of RS ? An unusual scene caught the attention of a family in Sananduva, in the North of Rio Grande do Sul. A pet buffalo decided to exchange the dam for the pool and spent around seven hours enjoying a private bath. The protagonist of the case that happened in the early hours of last Tuesday (21) is Cotonete, a Mediterranean buffalo raised as a pet by the Salvador family. ? Access the g1 RS channel on WhatsApp It all started around 1am, when Sandro's sister, Carine Salvador, noticed something different outside the house. "I woke up to the dogs barking non-stop. I turned on the light in the living room and came across him, with his head on the glass door, looking inside. I was so scared that I couldn't even take out my cell phone to register", she recalls. After the scare, she saw an even more surprising scene. "He (Cotonete) simply walked to the pool and got in. He didn't fall. He went in slowly, as if he were entering a pond. It seemed like he knew exactly what he was doing", he reports. According to the family, the animal entered the pool and remained there until around 8 am. Photos and videos of Cotonete's "dive" quickly began to circulate among friends and family. "We moved halfway around the world to find out how to get him out of there. But, in the end, he left alone when he wanted", comments Sandro. The animal's owner, Sandro explains that the property's buffaloes have frequent contact with water and often enter reservoirs to cool off. "We have a farm here close to the city and we raise buffaloes as a family hobby. Cotonete is a very docile, very gentle animal. That night he decided to take a walk. He is used to going into ponds.
