The patient, who preferred not to identify herself, said she sought out the Esteticlin Muniz Clinic to resolve physical discomfort. The patient decided to undergo the procedure on site after seeing photos and videos of supposed results published by the clinic on a messaging app. ? However, according to the Civil Police, the equipment used was a CO? laser, capable of making incisions and causing tissue damage, characterizing a surgical procedure. Also according to the delegate, the surgeries were performed only by professionals, without medical support staff and in a room considered unsuitable for this type of procedure. During the operation, police officers seized cosmetic equipment, electronic devices, documents and medicines that will be analyzed during the investigation.
