The report comes after the Civil Police of Amazonas (PC-AM) launched, this Wednesday (22), an operation against irregular surgical procedures in the capital. ?The action took place in two clinics from the EstetiClin network, located in the Adrianópolis neighborhood, Central-South Zone of Manaus, and in the East Zone of the capital. A dental surgeon, owner of the clinic chain, was intimidated by the police to provide clarification. The patient, who preferred not to identify herself, said she sought out the Esteticlin Muniz Clinic to resolve physical discomfort. The patient decided to undergo the procedure on site after seeing photos and videos of supposed results published by the clinic on a messaging app. ? The condition progressed to fever, vomiting, extreme headaches and mental confusion", he reported. Faced with worsening symptoms, the woman sought emergency medical care at the Women's Hospital. At the health unit, the gynecologist on duty confirmed the seriousness of the situation: the region was torn, highly inflamed and with the presence of pus. However, he claims to have had consequences. "After months of treatment with strong medications to contain the infection, the area healed, but I completely lost sensitivity in the clitoris," he said. She says she gathered evidence, such as medical prescriptions, medical records from the Women's Hospital, visual records, conversations on the app and an expert report that confirms the damage. Surgeries were carried out without medical staff. According to the investigation, the suspicions announced that the intimate surgery was carried out using a laser, without cuts, classifying the procedure as exclusively aesthetic. However, according to the Civil Police, the equipment used was a CO? laser, capable of making incisions and causing tissue damage, characterizing a surgical procedure. Also according to the delegate, the surgeries were performed only by professionals, without medical support staff and in a room considered unsuitable for this type of procedure. During the operation, police officers seized cosmetic equipment, electronic devices, documents and medicines that will be analyzed during the investigation. The two suspects were taken to the 4th DIP, where they gave statements.
