New courses and vacancies for officer training In the Tocantina Region, two new courses are now part of UemaSul's offer: Bachelor's Degree in Artificial Intelligence and Bachelor's Degree in Psychology. There was also an increase in the number of vacancies for the Officer Training Course (CFO). 40 vacancies will be offered for male and female members of the Maranhão Military Police (PMMA) and 25 vacancies for the Maranhão Military Fire Department (CBMMA). Quota system The selection process will also feature a quota system that reserves half of the places for candidates who completed all of high school in public schools. Within this reserve, 25% of places are allocated to students from families with income per person of up to two minimum wages. The system also includes ethnic-racial quotas for indigenous, quilombola and self-declared black and brown candidates, according to the proportion of these groups in the Maranhão population. There is also a reservation of 5% of vacancies for people with disabilities (PWD).
