Inmet's historical series began in 2003. The survey only considers years with consistent measurements, disregarding periods that had recording errors.

The Civil Defense of Natal advises the population to collaborate with the preservation of the drainage system, avoiding the irregular disposal of garbage in streets, galleries and storm drains, a practice that compromises the flow of rainwater and increases the risk of flooding. In emergency situations, the agency can be contacted by calling 199. Rain alert Inmet issued a heavy rain alert for all 167 cities in Rio Grande do Norte until 11:59 pm this Sunday (5). The alert has lasted since Saturday (4) and reduces the number of cities from Monday, keeping the capital Natal among the affected municipalities. The severity level of the alert is one of potential danger, colored yellow, which predicts rain between 20 and 30 mm/h or up to 50 mm per day, in addition to the possibility of intense winds, varying between 40 and 60 km/h. Inmet highlights that in this type of alert there is a low risk of electricity cuts, falling tree branches, flooding and electrical discharges. Most watched videos on g1 RN
