According to the caption, the change guaranteed the permanence of deputy Adjuto Afonso (União Brasil) in the presidency of the House. The parliamentarian assumed the interim presidency of Aleam on April 4 of this year, after the departure of Roberto Cidade (União Brasil). Cidade left the position to take over the Government of Amazonas, after the simultaneous resignations of the then governor Wilson Lima (União Brasil) and the vice-governor, Tadeu de Souza (Progressistas). In the action presented this week, Solidariedade asks the STF to suspend the resolution that authorizes the vice-president of Aleam to assume the presidency definitively, without a new election. The party wants a new vote to be held among state deputies. ? For the party, the resolution provided a legal basis for Adjuto Afonso to remain in the presidency without a new election. The case will be analyzed by Minister Flávio Dino, who will decide whether or not to suspend the effects of the resolution.
