According to the Campinas Municipal Development Company (Emdec), the crash occurred in the center-neighborhood direction, close to the intersection with Rua Fernão Pompeo de Camargo. The young man was found lying on the road, close to a tree. During the response, the Military Police identified a pickup truck involved in the accident, which had hit the back of the motorcycle. Upon impact, the motorcycle hit the tree. The police located the truck traveling in the opposite direction of the avenue and carried out the approach. According to Emdec, the driver showed signs of intoxication and was taken to the police station along with the passenger. Forensics were called to analyze the scene. The road was reopened at 3:04 am.
