According to CRM-PB advisor, João Medeiros, the objective of the survey is to highlight the importance of specialized training for doctors who serve specific groups, such as children. "Specialized training is extremely important for the adequate care of a very vulnerable being, who is rapidly growing and developing and who certainly needs more specialized care," he said.

For the president of the Sociedade Paraibana de Pediatria, Socorro Martins, the lack of specific training to care for children can increase risks during care and make correct diagnosis difficult. "Sometimes the delayed diagnosis, therapeutic management, longitudinal monitoring of this child, the establishment of psycho-affective bonds with both the child and the family, this is inherent to the pediatrician's training, because this bond that the pediatrician has with families, no technology replaces, no professional", he stated. The Regional Council of Medicine of Paraíba (CRMPB) and the Paraíba Society of Pediatrics signed a cooperation agreement to monitor the health units in the state in which the absence of these professionals was identified.
