Arapiraca City Hall, through the Municipal Department of Social Development, will carry out an inspection of the property this Monday afternoon (3) to assess the structural conditions of the site. The proposal was to renovate the headquarters or transfer the unit to another property. The situation was expected to be resolved by April this year, but none of the measures were implemented. "At the time, we met with a representative of the Executive, the judge, the Children's Prosecutor and the president of the Municipal Council for the Rights of Children and Adolescents, but nothing was resolved," said Wesley. Risk for children and adolescents The president highlighted that the council serves children and adolescents in vulnerable situations and that staying in the property represents a risk for both employees and the public served. "We receive children who arrive with all types of trauma and suffering. We cannot expose their lives to an environment with structural risks and unsanitary conditions," said Rodrigues.
