Memorial Zumbi opens registrations for free cultural workshops in Volta Redonda Disclosure Secom/PMVR The City of Volta Redonda (RJ), through the Municipal Department of Culture (SMC), will offer free cultural workshops between the months of August and December. The activities will take place at Memorial Zumbi, in Vila Santa Cecília. According to the Department of Culture, the project aims to value Afro-Brazilian culture, preserve memory and encourage the artistic training of participants. Registration will take place on the days each workshop will take place during the month of August. Participation is free. The Department of Culture informed that the dates of the workshops scheduled for the following months will be announced soon. According to the coordinator of Memorial Zumbi, the activities seek to strengthen the appreciation of Afro-Brazilian culture, in addition to contributing to the preservation of memory, the fight against racism and the promotion of cultural diversity.
