Initially, the weapon used by the victim had not been found. After analyzing security camera images, the police identified that an employee at the açaí store had taken the weapon. Questioned over the phone, she confessed to having removed the weapon from the crime scene and was instructed to return to the scene to hand it over. The employee returned to the establishment and handed the police a .38 caliber revolver (with three bullets fired and the others intact). She was then taken to the police station, interviewed and released. The case will be investigated by the Civil Police.
