According to the leader, in some cases there is an attitude of exclusivity between Christian groups, as if only certain denominations were legitimate to represent the Christian faith. For him, this position is not supported by the teachings of Jesus. At the demonstration, Renê Terra Nova also stated that confessional differences should not impede the church's evangelistic mission. "My sincere suggestion is that the Lord's missionary mandate should not be interrupted by confessional barriers, prejudices or secondary disputes. As long as Christ is faithfully announced, as long as lives are reached by grace and transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit, we must rejoice and cooperate with what God is accomplishing", he declared. The resolution states that the methodologies used by the movement are incompatible with the church's Reformed tradition, citing immersion retreats, physical and emotional tests, isolation in nature and experiential practices among the reasons for the guidance. After the decision, Legendários informed, through a note, that the IPB's deliberation does not represent a ban on Presbyterian faithful, but a recommendation for each local church to guide its members autonomously on participation in the movement.
