João Rock brings together names from Brazilian music in meetings on and off the stage

Held last Saturday, August 1st, in Ribeirão Preto (SP), João Rock maintained one of its main traditions by promoting unprecedented meetings between artists throughout the program. The special appearances throughout the more than 12 hours of shows reinforced the celebratory atmosphere that is one of the festival's hallmarks. CPM 22 welcomed Di Ferrero to perform "Dias Atrás", leading the 65 thousand people present to sing in chorus. Another standout moment took place during BaianaSystem's Karranka Rock Show, which featured the participation of BNegão and Vandal in a presentation that combined music, Brazilian popular culture and social reflections. The Thiago Castanho and Marcão Britto Charlie Brown Jr. Acústico project also welcomed Tico Santa Cruz, lead singer of Detonautas, to perform “Samba Makossa”. Yago Oproprio invited rapper Rô Rosa to make a special appearance during his performance. Offstage – The interaction between the artists also marked the festival's backstage. After performing, Ana Carolina followed the BaianaSystem show from the audience. Chico Chico, one of the first attractions of the day, remained at the event to watch the performances by Lagum, Alceu Valença and Zé Ramalho. Yago Oproprio also took the opportunity to attend the Djonga show. Behind the scenes, another moment caught our attention: Herbert Vianna and Alceu Valença met before the performance of Os Paralamas do Sucesso, reinforcing the atmosphere of integration between different names in Brazilian music that traditionally marks João Rock.
