According to him, cases are not frequent. "In Rio Preto da Eva there is an occurrence of felines in some branches. It is not a common situation, but reports exist, mainly in the region of ZF4 and the Tubira Branch, where this video was recorded. People who live in these areas are already in the habit of taking extra care at night, which is the period in which these animals usually appear. During the day it is very difficult to see them. They are present and caution is needed, because they are wild animals. Despite this, attacks on humans are rare", said the secretary. Secretariat advises residents The Municipal Environment Secretariat advises residents to keep their distance from animals in case of sightings. The recommendation is not to try to capture or approach and contact the responsible environmental agencies. According to the secretariat, reports about the presence of jaguars and other felines occur mainly in areas further away from the municipality, such as the ZF4 region and the Tubira Branch.
