The body was admitted to the Legal Medical Institute (IML) on Saturday night (25), for the necessary expert identification procedures and examinations. With confirmation, the accident now accounts for four fatalities. The expert report, which will indicate the causes of death, is expected to be completed by Friday (31). Understand the case Accident leaves dead and injured on Estrada de Ribamar A traffic accident left at least three people dead and another three injured this Friday morning (24), on Estrada de Ribamar (MA-201), in the Vila Roseana Sarney neighborhood, in São José de Ribamar, in Greater São Luís. Videos circulating on social media show victims trapped in the wreckage. According to preliminary information, five people were in one of the vehicles and only one person was in the other car. Three occupants of one of the vehicles, all men, died at the scene of the accident. The victims were identified as Francisco das Chagas Alves Ferreira, aged 50, and Edvan Augusto de Oliveira, aged 40. The name of the third victim was not released. A video from a security camera recorded the moment of the accident. One of the victims died after being treated by a medical team from the Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu). Three other people were taken to the hospital. Among the injured was one of the drivers, who reported pain in his chest and legs, in addition to suffering from a bleeding nose. According to the Military Police, residents of the region were angry after the accident and there were disagreements between those involved and people who were at the scene.
