The city hall concluded the process of expropriating the property and announced that the site will be transformed into a memorial dedicated to the priest's trajectory and religious, historical and cultural legacy. Located on Maestro Espíndola Street, in the Nossa Senhora das Graças neighborhood, the residence was declared a public utility before expropriation.
