INSS starts paying July benefits this Monday; see who gets it
The National Social Security Institute (INSS) begins this Monday (27) the payment of benefits for the month of July. Deposits will follow the authority's official calendar and will be made in a staggered manner,...
As is the case every month, the first recipients will be those who receive up to the minimum wage, currently set at R$1,621. For this group, payments begin on July 27th and continue until August 7th. Beneficiaries who receive amounts higher than the national minimum will have deposits started on August 3, also following the schedule defined by the INSS.
To identify the correct payment date, the insured must only look at the number that precedes the check digit on the benefit card. The number that appears after the dash is not included in the calculation. For example, in a benefit ending 0108-4, the number considered is 8.
Policyholders who receive up to the minimum wage will have the following schedule: final 1 receives on July 27th; final 2, on July 28; final 3, on July 29; final 4, on July 30; final 5, on July 31; final 6, on August 3; final 7, on August 4; final 8, on August 5; final 9, on August 6; and final 0, on August 7th.
For those who earn above the minimum wage, payments will be made as follows: finals 1 and 6 receive on August 3; finals 2 and 7, on August 4; finals 3 and 8, on August 5; finals 4 and 9, on August 6; and finals 5 and 0, on August 7th.
Beneficiaries can check the exact date of the deposit and other information through the application or the Meu INSS website, accessing the "Payment Statement" option. Another alternative is to contact Central 135, which is open from Monday to Saturday, from 7am to 10pm. Simply enter the requested data to check the benefit status.
In addition to the payment schedule, many policyholders still have questions about the retirement options offered by the INSS. Old-age retirement continues to be one of the most common and requires the worker to reach the minimum age stipulated by law and fulfill the minimum contribution period.
Retirement based on contribution time follows transition rules established after the Pension Reform, taking into account the total period of contributions and other criteria defined by legislation.
Another modality is retirement due to permanent incapacity, previously known as disability retirement. It is intended for policyholders who, after evaluation by medical experts, are considered incapable of carrying out any professional activity due to health problems.
The INSS also grants special retirement, aimed at workers who carried out activities exposed to harmful agents, such as chemicals, intense noise or other conditions harmful to health during their professional lives.
There is also rural retirement, aimed at family farmers, artisanal fishermen and other rural workers. In this category, the rules have particularities and differ from the requirements applied to urban workers, taking into account the characteristics of rural activity.
