This was the testimony of Edna Varela da Silva, mother of the 26-year-old girl found dead last Friday (10) in Miguel Pereira (RJ). Bianca da Silva Ribeiro had been missing since July 4th and her body was located partially buried in the area of ??a farm on the RJ-115 highway, in the Ramada neighborhood. The case is investigated as feminicide by the Civil Police. "She was a girl with a very strong personality and who always fought for this thing of combating this thing of feminicide. It's funny that she was terrified of it and she was precisely the victim of that, of feminicide", declared Edna. The mother described her daughter as a "very intense" woman, who was "not afraid of anything, very fearless." The young woman had lived in Rio de Janeiro for around six years and was close to graduating with a degree in History. "Her dream was to finish college now [...]. She was going to take a government exam. Her dream was to have a job, a career based on what she was studying", said Bianca's mother. For her older sister, Aline de Carvalho Ribeiro, the student was seen as a daughter. Faced with the crime, the family asked for answers: "We want justice because it was a very brutal crime", lamented the sister, highlighting that "whoever did it has to pay". The mother reinforced the request for investigations: "We want justice because she was a victim of femicide and I'm sure the authorities will find out who did this to my daughter."
