Group uses cardboard boxes to try to rob a bank and ends up arrested in RS The Civil Police of Rio Grande do Sul prevented a robbery at a bank in Ivoti, in the Metropolitan Region of Porto Alegre, on Saturday night (25). A group of robbers tried to break into the bank's safe using cardboard boxes to block the view of cameras and those passing by. ?During the action, three men were arrested red-handed and a 16-year-old teenager was apprehended while they were at the bank branch to cut into the safe. ?The group is still suspected of involvement in a recent attack in the city of Sapiranga. ? Access the g1 RS channel on WhatsApp The police officers saw, throughout Saturday, the criminals inspecting the location and discovered a structure mounted on the side of the property with cardboard to block the view of those passing by. According to the police, around 10pm, when the group was preparing to access the safe room, the tactical teams closed in on the area. They tried to escape, but were immobilized. Two cars, gloves used in the crime and cell phones were seized. The three men arrested will be charged with attempted aggravated robbery, criminal association and corruption of minors. the police requested the court to prevent the trio from being detained. ?The teenage offender was taken to the Novo Hamburgo police station. The action was initiated by the 1st Robbery Police Station of the State Department of Criminal Investigations (1st DR/DEIC) and had the support of the Military Brigade and the 3rd Police Station of Novo Hamburgo.
