The first fire hit an area of ??vegetation on the banks of RJ-220, close to the entrance to Natividade. The flames quickly spread through the dry vegetation and formed an intense smoke screen, seen from various parts of the city. ? Residents also helped fight the flames until the situation was under control. In Itaperuna, the fire occurred in Morro do Querosene, around 9 pm. The fire advanced through the vegetation and reached close to an apartment located in the region of Sebastião José Neves and Salustiano Ferreira Braga streets, in the Vinhosa neighborhood, causing concern among residents. The Fire Department advises the population not to set fire to garbage, dry leaves or yard weeding debris.
