Fire hits an area of ??vegetation in the Central-West Zone of Manaus A fire hit an area of ??vegetation located near Bola das Letras, in the Dom Pedro neighborhood, Central-West Zone of Manaus, this Friday (7). There are no reports of injuries or material damage. A video recorded by a witness shows the advance of the flames over the forested area, with destruction of vegetation and continuous formation of smoke. According to preliminary information, the fire started in the morning and persisted until the evening. The dry vegetation, however, contributed to spreading the fire in the area. Until the most recent update of this report, Fire Department agents remained at the scene working to combat the flames.
