He was in a small wooden boat when he fell ill and fell into the water. When the house passed through the current, no injuries were reported. The Bento Gonçalves Fire Department responded to the incident and tried to revive Luiz Antonio Glanert, 70 years old. Afterwards, a team from the Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu) took over the service. After the procedures, the Samu doctor noted the absence of vital signs and declared death on the spot. The Santa Tereza Military Brigade took over recording the incident. "Yesterday, the river took a house, today, my father", laments his daughter Adriana Glanert. The son managed to remove his father from the river and found that he was in cardiorespiratory arrest. Residents who were on the banks helped with the first assistance until help arrived. The Fire Department reported that there is no connection between the death and the weather event that hit the state.
