The attacker used a horse's plow - a type of whip - to beat the victim as a form of punishment after he climbed onto the neighbor's wall, according to the Civil Police. The attacks took place during school holidays, when the child spent time with his father. The bulletin states that on August 1st, the boy's mother contacted the man via message to find out how her son was doing, at which time the father confessed to having given the beating. An expert report was attached to the investigation and confirmed the bruises on the child's neck and body. The police also said that “the investigations also revealed a systematic history of domestic violence and ill-treatment carried out by the aggressor since the child was a baby in arms”. The police requested preventive detention due to the need to "guarantee public order, stop the risk of repeated crimes and ensure the full protection of the victim and his family in light of the Child and Adolescent Statute and the Henry Borel Law."
