According to an investigation by Rede Amazônica, the suspect was under the influence of alcohol and other drugs at the time of the incident. The case is Aelyson da Silva, aged 6, was admitted to a local hospital on Saturday (18), with a serious stab wound to her back. The medical team called the 38th Interactive Police Station (DIP) and the Military Police due to the severity of the injury. The boy did not survive the injury and died. Initially, the father told police that his son had fallen on a knife. He later changed his version and stated that he threw a backpack at the child as a form of "punishment" for supposed disobedience. In testimony, he reported that he did not remember that there were two fishing knives inside the bag. According to the suspect, one of the blades went through the backpack and hit the boy's back, who succumbed to his injuries. The man was charged with qualified homicide. The case remains under investigation by the Civil Police.
