TRE-AM opens registrations for volunteer poll workers for the 2026 Elections Disclosure/TRE-AM The Electoral Court set the fine at R$ 175 per shift for poll workers who are absent from electoral work without justification and spontaneously request the arbitration of the penalty in the 32nd Electoral Zone of Manaus. The measure was made official in an ordinance signed by electoral judge Áurea Lina Gomes Araújo on Thursday (9). The ordinance explains that the Electoral Code and a resolution from the Superior Electoral Court (TSE) provide for a fine between R$3.51 and R$17.56 for poll workers who miss work. However, legislation allows this amount to be increased by up to ten times, depending on the person's economic condition. When justifying the measure, the judge states that the maximum value currently provided is insufficient to fulfill the purpose of the punishment.
