The decision, signed by electoral judge Thaís Feguri Krizanowski Farinelli, suspends the effects of the retotalization of votes in the 2024 municipal elections, held on July 7, and provisionally reestablishes the original composition of the Chamber, depending on the results of the elections. ? With the decision, Rossana Camacho returns to office and José Carlos Albuquerque (Podemos) leaves the seat he occupied since the retotalization of votes. The decision is provisional in nature. The judge also informed that a new totalization was scheduled for this Monday (20), but was canceled due to flaws in the Candidatures system, used by the Electoral Court. Recount of votes changes composition of the Marília Chamber; councilwoman loses mandate Recount of votes On July 7, the Electoral Court carried out a new totalization of votes for the 2024 municipal elections in Marília, following a decision by the TRE-SP that had maintained the annulment of all votes obtained by the Mobiliza party due to fraud regarding the gender quota. The annulment of the votes, therefore, was related to Mobiliza and not the PSD, Rossana Camacho's party. With the new distribution of seats in the Chamber, the councilor lost her mandate and the seat was now occupied by José Carlos Albuquerque (Podemos), author of the action that questioned the regularity of the Mobiliza ticket. The fraud recognized by the courts involved non-compliance with the gender quota, a rule that requires parties and federations to fill at least 30% of their candidacies with women. Due to the decision that annulled Mobiliza's votes, there was a change in the electoral quotient and redistribution of seats in the City Council. According to the Electoral Court, the retotalization changed only one of the 17 seats in the Legislature. The other councilors elected in 2024 had their mandates maintained.
