She was rescued and taken to the Emergency Care Unit (UPA) in Paragominas. The Civil Police also reported that the suspect presented himself as a psychiatrist and clinical sexologist, but, to date, no records of these specialties have been located with the Regional Council of Medicine (CRM). In a note to g1, CRM informed that "it has already become aware of the fact reported and will initiate investigative procedures to investigate the complaint." The investigators also state that the doctor had already been the target of another investigation for alleged sexual harassment against a patient, in May 2023. According to Deaca, after the arrest warrant was served against the suspect, other women of different ages sought out the police station to report similar conduct carried out by the suspect.
