As found by g1, Samir José de Azevedo Costa Ayoub performed surgical-aesthetic procedures without qualification. According to the Civil Police, drugs used for weight loss were found, as well as drugs not registered with the National Health Surveillance Agency (Anvisa), illicit and expired in the dentist's residence and clinic. g1 contacted lawyer Luis Carlos Pereira, who represents the arrested dentist, but did not receive a response until the last update of this report. ? When questioned, Samir told the police that he had a degree in medicine in Bolivia and dentistry in Brazil, but he did not provide confirmation of his training as a doctor or his specialization in performing aesthetic procedures, as required by the Federal Council of Dentistry (CFO). The police went to the dentist's clinic, in the Jardim Santo André neighborhood, accompanied by Health Surveillance inspectors. During the searches, despite the accused presenting himself as a dentist, no instruments, supplies or dental care records were found. The police also found bottles of medicine without any information or registration with Anvisa, in addition to a box with several collagen biostimulator medicines, which the accused could not handle, as it could not be applied by a dentist without specialization. In one of the rooms, the police found several bottles of surgical anesthesia, scalpels, a retractor for use in surgery that a dentist does not perform, a portable vacuum cleaner used in neck procedures, as well as another bottle of medication without any information or registration with Anvisa. Scissors, scalpels, surgical forceps and cannulas were found with signs of having been used recently, as they were awaiting sterilization. These objects were not seized due to the risk of contamination, but were only photographed. Clinic closed According to the Civil Police, Health Surveillance inspectors drew up an administrative infraction notice due to the lack of a health license, as well as carrying out a total closure of the establishment until eventual regularization. The medicines, supplies, cell phone and notebook were seized by the Civil Police. The accused was taken to the emergency room and then to the police station. Samir was taken to the city's jail, where he remained at the disposal of the courts awaiting his custody hearing.
