Items were seized Military Police The PM explains that what motivated the approach was precisely the defect in the car's headlight, which caught the attention of the police. "The police team, on patrol, spotted a vehicle that had faulty lighting and was oscillating between high and low light, making it difficult for other users of BR 277 to see. Given this fact, aiming to mitigate risks to the driver and third parties, as well as based on well-founded suspicion, the police team began the approach procedure, using light and sound signals (giroflex and siren)." After stopping the vehicle, the police saw backpacks sealed with nylon ties on the back seats and asked the women what was in them. According to the PM, they reported not knowing what they were transporting and admitted that they were products coming from Paraguay. "Therefore, it was requested that the backpacks be opened to check the items, considering that it is a federal highway known to the police teams due to the frequent transport of illicit goods (embezzlement, smuggling and drug trafficking)", says the PM.
