Samuel Hydroelectric Plant in RO Reproduction/AXIA Energia Residents of communities located below the Samuel Hydroelectric Dam, in Candeias do Jamari (RO), will participate, on the 14th and 15th of July, in an emergency simulation to train how to act in the event of a possible risk situation in the structure. The activity will be carried out by AXIA Energia, in partnership with municipal and state civil defenses, and is part of the Emergency Action Plan (PAE), a document that defines the procedures to be adopted in the event of an emergency involving the dam. In preparation for the training, teams visited the houses in the so-called Self-Rescue Zone (ZAS), an area located just below the dam, to update family registration and guide residents on evacuation routes, meeting points and the operation of warning sirens. According to the company, during the registration update, contact information and data were collected about residents who may need special assistance in a possible emergency, such as the elderly, children and people with disabilities. What the simulation will be like The training will be divided into regions and will have 15 meeting points. On the morning of July 14th, the simulation will be carried out on Estrada do Salsalito. In the afternoon, activities take place on Line 655 and Ramal das Pedras. On the morning of July 15th, the exercise will be carried out at Ramal São Pedro. When the sirens are activated, residents must follow the marked evacuation routes to the meeting point indicated for the community where they live. On site, Civil Defense teams will guide participants and answer questions.
