Car registered as stolen is recovered in Volta Redonda Disclosure/Federal Highway Police A 31-year-old man was arrested with a stolen car on Monday (20) in Volta Redonda (RJ). The case took place in the Aterrado neighborhood. According to the Federal Highway Police, agents received information about a vehicle suspected of being cloned, which had Nova Iguaçu (RJ) license plates, being in the region. The action had the support of the Municipal Guard. Also according to the PRF, Guard agents approached the vehicle and requested agents from the Federal Highway Police to identify the car. In the car, there were three men, the driver, aged 31, and two passengers, aged 27 and 33. The original car was licensed in Rio de Janeiro (RJ) and had been reported stolen in April 2025. The PRF also reported that when questioned, the driver said he made the transaction with a friend from Barra Mansa (RJ) and gave another vehicle, a motorcycle and R$3,000 but did not present proof of the transaction. The driver and other passengers were taken to the Volta Redonda police station. The man was charged, in principle, with the crime of receiving possession. The vehicle was also removed to the police station, where measures to recover the stolen vehicle and other legal measures will be carried out. Until the publication of this report, there is no information whether the suspect had been arrested.
