Car catches fire and closes section of Rodovia dos Tamoios, in Caraguatatuba Divulgação/Artesp A car caught fire, this Sunday morning (12), on Rodovia dos Tamoios (SP-099), in Caraguatatuba (SP). The fire left lanes of the road closed in the section, at km 81.5, in the Jaraguazinho neighborhood. According to Artesp, the agency that monitors highways granted in the state, the vehicle was traveling north of Tamoios, towards São José dos Campos, when it broke down and suddenly shut down. The driver tried to start the car again, but was unable to do so. According to the agency, after the attempts, the driver smelled smoke and got out of the car. Shortly afterwards, the flames spread quickly and engulfed the entire vehicle. ?
