From January to June, 44 locations were closed, a figure higher than the 38 closures recorded throughout 2025. According to the municipal administration, the metropolis has 103,549 establishments that have "health" activities under the CNPJ. Of the total, 1,829 are in the field of dentistry. The inspection work is carried out by a team of 79 employees — 64 health authorities and 15 administrative agents. Last year, the service closed 1,050 establishments including pharmacies, beauty clinics and Long-Term Institutions for the Elderly (ILPIs), an increase of 35% compared to 2024, when it closed 779 places. The agency reinforces that infractions represent a risk for the patient, such as contamination during the procedure, transmission of diseases, inadequately performed care and reactions to expired or poorly stored products. Surveillance also identified cases of establishments without any license and illegal exercise of the profession, mainly in the area of ??beauty. How it works Every inspection is for guidance purposes. Based on what is found, surveillance assesses the health risk. When it is serious, the ban may occur immediately, with or without a fine. Otherwise, the person responsible is given a deadline to correct the irregularities; if it fails to do so, sanctions may be applied. The ban is not necessarily permanent: as soon as the establishment adapts, it is released. In 2025, 67 establishments were closed; in 2026, there will be 57. The time varies from case to case. There are places closed in 2025 and only released in 2026, and others that remain closed. Campinas City Hall reminds that the sector also carries out educational actions. The most recent took place in June, at the Association of Dental Surgeons of Campinas (ACDC), at the request of the entity itself, to clarify doubts about the new rules of good operating practices defined by Anvisa.
