The fire was contained after almost two hours of intensive fighting. Cooling and cooling work on the property continued throughout the early hours of this Thursday (6). According to the capital's Fire Commander, Colonel Reinaldo Menezes, the fire was classified as medium-sized, but with a high risk of spreading due to the type of material stored at the site. For the safety of residents and rescue teams, the area's electrical grid was temporarily disconnected by the power company. The Military Police (PMAM) and Civil Defense also provided support in the incident, and both directions of the avenue had to be completely closed during the operation. According to the Fire Department, the fight lasted five hours, a total of 16 vehicles and 56 military firefighters used more than 120 thousand liters of water to control and extinguish the fire.
