The rescue took place in the canal on Avenida Manoel da Cruz Michael. The dog, which appeared to be older, was almost completely submerged in the water when it was rescued. After removing the animal, the police bathed and fed the dog before taking it to the municipal kennel. According to the city hall, the animal was not injured when it was admitted to the unit.
